Planes of Existence

While endless adventure awaits out in the game—there are other worlds beyond these.
Yet even beyond this existence of countless planets exist more worlds—entirely different dimensions of reality known as the planes of existence.
Except for rare linking points that allow travel between them, each plane is effectively its own universe with its own natural laws.
Collectively, the entirety of these other dimensions and planes is known as the Great Beyond.

Although the number of planes is limited only by imagination, they can all be categorized into five general types:
the Material Plane, the transitive planes, the Inner Planes, the Outer Planes, and the countless demiplanes.

The Great Beyond
The planes are collectively known as the Great Beyond, and form a vast, nesting sphere.
At the heart of the sphere lie the Material Plane and its twisted reflection, the Shadow Plane, bridged by the mists of the Ethereal Plane.
The elemental planes of the Inner Sphere surround this heart.
Farther out, beyond the void of the Astral Plane, sits the unimaginably vast Outer Sphere, which is itself surrounded and contained by the innumerable layers of the Abyss.

What is a Plane?
The planes of existence are different realities with interwoven connections.
Except for rare linking points, each plane is effectively its own universe, with its own natural laws.

Description : Few can match the guile and craftiness of arcane shadows. These
prodigious rogues blend the subtlest aspects of the arcane with the natural
cunning of the bandit and the scoundrel, using spells to enhance their natural
rogue abilities. Arcane shadows as often as not seek humiliation as a goal to
triumph over their foes than more violent solutions.

Added Orcish Fort Zone, a level 15-16 zone located north of Ashenport.
Added the Custom-Gold mob flag. If this flag is not set, gold will be auto-calculated
when the mob is loaded into the game.
Added the No-AI mob flag. If this flag is set it will not perform any mob actions, such
as casting spells, movement, scavenging, aggroing, etc.
Fixed a bug with boosts in the study menu, not awarding extra skill
points when intelligence is raised with a boost point.
Fixed a bug wherein a mob that dies from suffering, properly awards
exp to the last person to attack it, if they’re in the same room as
the mob when it dies.

Happy to announce that Gicker will be taking over as co-lead (together with Ornir) and Zusuk will be shifting over to a support role.

Huge gratitude to Gicker for accepting this responsibility.

Past due gratitude is owed to Opie – he is our new hosting solution and moved the MUD to her new home.

Whether secreted away in a smoky basement laboratory or gleefully experimenting in a well-respected school of magic, the alchemist is often regarded as being just as unstable, unpredictable, and dangerous as the concoctions he brews. While some creators of alchemical items content themselves with sedentary lives as merchants, providing tindertwigs and smokesticks, the true alchemist answers a deeper calling. Rather than cast magic like a spellcaster, the alchemist captures his own magic potential within liquids and extracts he creates, infusing his chemicals with virulent power to grant him impressive skill with poisons, explosives, and all manner of self-transformative magic.

Role: The alchemist’s reputation is not softened by his exuberance (some would say dangerous recklessness) in perfecting his magical extracts and potion-like creations, infusing these substances with magic siphoned from his aura and using his own body as experimental stock. Nor is it mollified by the alchemist’s almost gleeful passion for building explosive bombs and discovering strange new poisons and methods for their use.
