The new Luminari Feat system is now LIVE for Alpha testing. Thanks to Zusuk, Gicker, Treyorn, Awh and all the others who helped with the development and development testing of this system, I could not have done it without you.
Please remember that this is *ALPHA* code, and that the help files are not fully complete yet. We are working on them (that was one reason to go live) and will have them up to date as soon as possible.
The ‘study’ command is used after you gain a level to choose feats. You do not need to provide a class to the study command anymore, as it automatically detects it. For testing there is no limit to the number of times you may study, even though the command says otherwise.
The ‘feats’ command is your interface to the feat system.
‘feats known’ or just ‘feats’ will list all known feats.
‘feats avail’ will list all available feats.
‘feats all’ will list all feats, available or not.
The above commands can be used with the ‘desc’ modifier: ‘feats all desc’ – This will give a short description of each feat. These are not all accurate (it is a big list) but we will be updating it as we go. We are aware of the wrapping problems and are working on them.
‘feat info ‘ will provide information about a particular feat.
There are also extra abilities – access them using the train command:
train
train knowledge
train craft
These commands will list all of the new abilities. You can train them in the same way as before, except you use ‘train knowledge arcana’ to train the arcana knowledge ability, for example.
We also have a new score sheet, and a number of other, small changes that have made their way into the release.
From here on out, changes will be coming in smaller doses, as the huge sweeping changes like the feat system have been a bit unwieldy in practice. There will be a larger focus on fixing bugs and improving the feat system. Thank you all for your patience and support and I will see you in the game!
