      My next project that I would like to start is for level 30+ players. The zone will start off so that a level 30 can solo but to finish the area, a group that can communicate and work with each other will be required. The biggest part about the zone is that I want it’s entrance to be randomly generated somewhere on the world map. It can’t spawn on water or mountain, but just about anywhere else. A player will need to obtain a compass from a quest and that compass will lead the player in the cardinal direction(as long as they are on the world map) of the well so it can be found.

      Features on the zone:
      -Randomly generated entrance with compass for finding the entrance
      -Multiple levels of difficulty. The deeper the well, the more challenging it becomes.
      -Each level of the well will have a boss the spawns a portal. The only way to the next lower level is to find the boss and kill it to proceed.
      -Certain levels will correspond with certain elements, so different weapons or resist spells/eq can play a major role in the success or failure of a fight.
      -Bosses will drop higher end crafting materials as well as high end equipment.
      -7 levels are currently planned but since it is a well, I can always go deeper in the future.

      Any ideas are welcome. I am open to suggestions. If you would like to name an item or a boss, please let me know.

      This sounds really fun Treyorn – I am behind this 100%.

      The compass would be easy – given a generated coordinate, finding the direction (n, ne, e, se, s, sw, w, nw) would be pretty simple. Would the location of the well change on reboot or on some kind of event timer, where it would change once an hour or something?

      I’ll let you know if I come up with anything – Maybe in deeper levels we could get some more ‘Underdark’-like creatures, umber hulks, myconid hordes, Drow, etc. Maybe even some blind, tunneling worms or something. Veto me if you don’t agree with any of this.

      Those ideas sound great! It’s nice to get opinions on mob types. It makes it a lot easier to just jump in and build. Ambayana has the zone that has 9300-9399. With her absence and no real creation on that zone, I would like to steal her vnums so that I would have 9200-9399.

      No rush on the compass project. This zone will take a long time I am guessing. I will be spending some time revamping and fixing current zones. I have been actively going through and fixing the bugs and typos related to building. With access to help files I will work on those as well.

      My current idea was to relocate the entrance every 24 real life hours or upon reboot.
